Jacquetta Gomes (Bodhicarini Upasika Jayasili) — I assisted Sakyadhita UK development group member Wendy Barzetovic to develop Sakyadhita UK in the 1980s. I gave an Introduction to Sakyadhita talk at the Sakyadhita UK meeting at Conway Hall, London, on 9 September 1989. I also gave a talk, and led Metta [Loving Kindness] meditation at the Sakyadhita UK meeting at Fellside Centre Kendal on 18 July 2009. [Read more]

Sue Bloy — I have been Treasurer of Sakyadhita UK since it was set up in 2007 and I have been involved with Buddhism since the mid 1970s when I was at university in Birmingham. I was born and brought up in the backwater of rural East Anglia and early in my teenage years I became disillusioned with the narrow outlook presented by my Anglican protestant upbringing. Claralynn Nunamaker — A lifetime member of Sakyadhita International since 2003, I was enthusiastic about helping re-form the UK group in 2020. I now serve as chair and webmaster for Sakyadhita UK. In my personal practice, it took 15 years to settle on Early Buddhism and make the decision to learn canonical languages.
